I personally don't have much knowledge about cancer and I've never had the experience of losing someone close to cancer but I didn't understand why this book had so much hype. I liked it but my reaction to it was lukewarm. Neither raving nor scatching. :/

I think John Green's LOOKING FOR ALASKA is much better tbh. He certainly has a talent at writing and his quotes are overused on tumblr and everywhere else for a reason (lol) but I don't see the big fuss about the book. ANYWAY. Thank you for a review that actually offers a critical point of view to this story. I've read countless reviews that have been gushing, and those are nice but...not always informative.

PS it was nice to see your post! :)Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18119179764394966859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6891180510642096189.post-9253225944371380642014-06-30T18:05:37.234-04:002014-06-30T18:05:37.234-04:00Books just don't work for everyone. I started ...Books just don't work for everyone. I started this one, but got easily sidetracked because I wasn't in the mood for the "dying with cancer" theme. Too close to my real life at the time. So I moved on and read three other books. Now I've got this one next to my bed and I'm thinking, should I take it up again?cleemckenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15456109243453726483noreply@blogger.com
